UAE fuel price committee has rolled out the revised fuel rates for August 2026 in the region. The new revision has increased the fuel prices in the UAE after a brief relaxation that came in July 2026.

As per the official announcement, the fuel prices in the UAE now start at AED 3.41 per litre for E-Plus 91 petrol and go up to AED 3.80 per litre for diesel. The new fuel prices will affect transportation companies and diesel car owners the most, as diesel prices have been affected the most.

With the new fuel prices announced for August 2026, every fuel grade has undergone an equal hike of AED 0.20 per litre. The new fuel prices in the UAE will be implemented from August 1, 2026.
Fuel price trend in the UAE in 2026
At the start of 2026, the fuel prices in the UAE were stable, and the rates were hovering between AED 2.34 and AED 2.55 per litre depending on the fuel grade. However, global tensions began by the end of February 2026, which hit global crude oil prices drastically.
UAE saw its biggest fuel price jump in March 2026, when the fuel rates jumped as high as AED 4.69 per litre (diesel) and AED 3.20 per litre (E-Plus 91). This was recorded as the biggest jump in years for the region, and it directly affected motorists, logistics, and the automotive industry. The impact was such that new car buyers started opting for more EVs, leading to a higher jump in sales for electric cars.
With that said, the fuel rates stabilised in July 2026, and the new prices for August 2026 have made commuting costly once again for UAE motorists.
