BYD Atto 2 - Battery, specifications, and range

The Atto 2 is based on the all-new CTB or Cell-to-Battery chassis construction that uses the trademark 'Blade Battery' as a part of the chassis to provide better strength and enhanced passenger safety in case of an accident.

Moreover, BYD is offering the Atto 2 with two battery options, which include: 51.1 kWh (Comfort) and 64.8 kWh (Boost). 

The smaller Comfort variant with the 51.1 kWh battery option offers a WLTP-claimed range of up to 345 km on a full charge. It produces 175 bhp and 290 Nm of power and torque. The Comfort variant supports rapid charging of up to 82 kW, which can charge it 20-80% in just 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Boost variant with a 64.8 kWh battery pack is rated for 420 km of range. It develops 200 bhp and 310 Nm of power and torque. It also supports a fast charger of 115 kW that can charge it 20-80% in just 21 minutes.

Speaking of the performance, the Atto 2 can sprint 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. It has a claimed top speed of 160 km/h.

BYD Atto 2 - Interiors and features

While the exterior design was revealed earlier this year, the interior design and features of the Atto 2 have now been revealed. Additionally, it has a minimalist design like the BYD Atto 3 EV. 

BYD has kept the interiors of the Atto 2 spacious that are equipped with light colour contrast theme. At 4.3 metres long, the Atto 2 offers decent space for four adults. It also gets a cargo capacity of 400 litres, which is expandable up to 1,340 litres with the rear seats down.
