The 2026 Hyundai Palisade model has made it to the US shores. The Korean carmaker has officially introduced the new generation of the flagship Palisade globally.

2026 Hyundai Palisade - Design and dimension updates

The primary change on the new-gen Palisade is its bigger design. The new model is now 63 mm longer than the outgoing model, and it features a 68 mm increase in the wheelbase.

The overall design of the new model is inspired by the latest design pattern of Hyundai. The front features a masculine outlook with unique vertical LED lights and a horizontal slat grille.

Additionally, it also features adaptive air dams on the front for better performance and efficiency. On the side, it is not just longer but also has new pattern alloy wheels and a bigger glass area.

The rear profile of the new SUV has been updated with the new boot, a set of new vertical LED taillights, and a sporty bumper.

Cabin and feature updates

The interiors of the new model have also undergone a complete makeover. A new dashboard design with dual 12.3-inch connected screen display serves as a speedometer and infotainment altogether.

Additionally, the seats have been redesigned for additional comfort, and the second row is now electrically adjustable as well as ventilated. 

There are a few highlights that are inspired by the Ioniq 5. For example, the door pads are scooped in design for better legroom, the centre console is movable, and the fit and finish have also improved.

In terms of new features, it gets a multi-zone climate control, a big moonroof, ambient lighting with customisation, cooled-wireless charging pads, a 100w USB type-C port for all three rows, a 14-speaker BOSE music system, and more.

Improved safety features

The new 2026 Palisade SUV features the advanced autonomous safety suite. This includes the level 2 ADAS features like anti-front collision avoidance assist, blind spot monitoring and assist, lane watch and keep assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, dual-dash cam, rear occupant alert, 10 airbags, hill hold and hill descent control, and more.

2026 Hyundai Palisade engine, specs, mileage

Hyundai is offering the new Palisade model with two engine options: a 3.5-litre V6 petrol and a 2.5-litre hybrid motor.

The 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine develops 287 bhp and 352.5 Nm of power and torque, respectively. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

However, there is also a new 2.5-litre, four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, which develops 329 bhp and 459.2 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. This engine spec can do more than 1,000 km on a single fuel tank.

New XT Pro variant

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is also available in a new XT Pro variant. It is an off-road-specific variant which features an increased ground clearance of 213 mm; 25 mm higher than the standard variant.

 Moreover, it runs on special 18-inch all-terrain wheels and gets an electronic rear limited-slip differential. Additionally, it gets three terrain modes - Mud, Sand, and Snow.

2026 Hyundai Palisade UAE launch and price

As of now, the new Palisade is exclusively available in the US and South Korean markets. However, Hyundai will launch it in the other prominent markets, including the UAE, later this year.

The current-gen Palisade is priced from AED 152,000 in the UAE. With the new engine, bigger dimensions, and latest features, we expect this price tag to be marginally higher for the new model.
