2027 Suzuki Fronx facelift spied: What to expect?
The first-ever sighting of the upcoming Fronx facelift comes from the Indian subcontinent. Here, a test car is seen parked in a parking lot with a complete camouflage.
At first glance, the car looks identical to the current generation Fronx. However, if you take a closer look, you will find smart changes to its bumper and the front grille silhouette.
This not only solidifies the fact that it is indeed a new Fronx, but also shows that the Fronx facelift will posses mild cosmetic changes. It is because the test car has the same set of LED tri-headlights and the tri-LED DRLs, which are also used on the current model.
Its side profile has been revealed partially in the leaked images, which shows the set of new alloy wheels, although these are yet to be finished with proper machine cutting. One with sharp eyes will be able to notice the repositioning of the infotainment screen inside. This further hints that the cabin will also receive changes, including new features and layout.
Is it the Suzuki Fronx Hybrid?
Since not many details are known about the upcoming Fronx, one thing that is reported online is that Suzuki is developing a new hybrid engine for the Fronx and other models, including the Baleno, Dzire, and more.
This new unit will be a series-parallel hybrid motor, or a range-extender motor. Here, the engine will act as a power generator to charge the batteries, whereas the batteries will drive the electric motor permanently to drive the car.
This setup will offer higher initial power, more performance, a smooth driving experience, and mind-boggling mileage numbers. Some reports hint that it will offer above 35 km/l of fuel economy.
When will it launch?
Suzuki has not announced any plans to launch the Fronx facelift yet. We believe that the carmaker is busy working on other models, which are set to be launched in the global market in the near future.
However, the road test phase means that the Fronx facelift is nearing its last stage of development. Therefore, we are hopeful that it will be launched globally by the end of 2027.
