What to expect from the upcoming Audi Q9?

Audi has finally released the first set of photos of its upcoming flagship SUV. The Q9 will be a large, three-row SUV, offering massive road presence and cutting-edge technology.

The released images showcase a prototype covered in camouflage. The exterior design includes an upright stance with a dominating 2D front grille design, split LED headlights, a sporty front bumper, and large machine-cut alloy wheels with a multi-spoke design.

The rear profile includes a set of connected LED taillights and an illuminated Audi logo, the latter of which has now become prominent on all new Audi models. It also features the functional roof rails, indicating that the Q9 will be an all-rounder SUV, and not just made for paved roads.

However, the most interesting detail is the interior layout that has been revealed in these photos. It packs a driver-focused dashboard design, which takes cues from the recently introduced Audi cars like the RS5. The new three-spoke steering wheel is complemented by the triple screen layout behind.

Audi has tilted the infotainment screen towards the driver, and so do the central air-con vents and central console design. This amplifies the fact that the upcoming Audi Q9 is going to be a driver-focused SUV as well.

The whole cabin features the Ivory White leather seats, which are accentuated by the light grey coloured panels, panoramic sunroof, ambient lights, multi-zone air conditioning, Bang & Olufsen sound system, electric doors, and more.

What engine will it use?

Audi has yet to announce the complete details of the upcoming Q9, including the engine specs. We believe that it will be offered in various engine options, including the turbo petrol, plug-in hybrid, and EV guise in the future. However, we are certain that the Quattro AWD system will be offered as standard on it.

When will the Audi Q9 debut?

The new Audi Q9 is slated for a worldwide debut in July 2026. It is speculated that it will be launched in Europe and the US later this year. However, it won’t be available in the UAE before mid-2027.
