British luxury carmaker Land Rover has introduced an updated Defender SUV range in the UK. The new 2025 Land Rover Defender now gets subtle design changes and new cabin features.

2025 Land Rover Defender - Design changes

The primary change on the new 2026 Defender is the addition of redesigned bumpers on both ends. 

Additionally, it now gets a new set of LED headlamps with new dual rectangular DRLs and new smoked-out LED taillights for a sporty appeal.

Meanwhile, the bonnet inserts now have a new textured pattern, and the side vent design has also been revamped.

Land Rover has also added new colour options for the Defender 90, 110, and 130 models. Additionally, the Defender Octa now gets more personalised packs for individual customisation.

The new colour palettes include: Sargasso Blue, Borasco Grey, Woolstone Green, Textured Graphite (Octa), and Chopped Carbon Fibre (Octa). 

The Defender Octa customers will be able to choose the Matte White colour from late 2025.

The 22-inch alloy wheel design has also been upgraded with new hub caps featuring "Defender" lettering. The Defender Octa customers can now choose a new 20-inch forged alloy wheel pattern for customisation.

Lastly, the updated Defender now gets a new black front grille as standard with a dark grey oval-shaped logo embedded in it.

2025 Land Rover Defender - Interior and features

On the inside, the new Defender now gets a repositioned gear shift lever, which is now fixed on the dashboard below the infotainment screen.

Additionally, the old 11.4-inch touchscreen has now been replaced by a bigger 13.1-inch screen. 

The new infotainment screen gets OTA updates, an improved UI, and a new 360-degree surround view monitoring.

Moreover, the steering wheel now features a camera facing the driver. It is called “Driver Attention Monitor”, and it monitors the behaviour of the driver, further assisting in case of an emergency.

For better off-roading, the new Defender gets “Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control”. This feature automatically controls a set speed during off-road driving.

The engine options and specifications of the new 2025 Defender remain unchanged.

The Defender range of SUV is sold with five engine options. These include: 2.0L petrol, 2.0L plug-in hybrid, 3.0L diesel, and 5.0L V8 turbo-petrol.
