What is new on the 2027 Audi Q7?
Exterior design updated

The first change that you will notice on the new Q7 is its modern exterior design that features an upright and aggressive stance. The front fascia is completely new, and it is basically a short version of the upcoming Q9 flagship SUV.
The new Q7 gets the segmented daytime running lights that look like eyebrows, while the big honeycomb grille endorses the Audi logo. Meanwhile, the new vertical Matrix LED headlights and the sporty front bumper make it look like a proper modern-generation Audi.

However, the side profile can get you mistaken for the Q9, save for its length. Audi has used the conventional door handles on the Q7, since it will be sold in China, where the retractable door handles will be banned from next year. The new Q7 rides on the 20-inch alloy wheels, which range up to 23 inches (optional).
The rear profile is similar to the Audi Q5 as it gets the segmented LED taillights, a connected LED lightbar, and an illuminated logo. The sporty bumper gets the silver and piano black finish with dual exhaust tips.
Interior design and features

The cabin design of the new Q7 has also undergone a big improvement. It gets the new triple-screen dashboard with a driver-focused design. The big infotainment screen now controls most of the features, including AC, seat ventilation, etc.
On the other hand, the passenger screen is optional, and it features entertainment apps, whereas the digital driver console offers all the information needed. There is also an augmented reality HUD and 3D navigation maps.
Audi has also added the new four-spoke steering wheel with haptic touch controls and a column-mounted gearshift lever. Because of this shift, the central console now has a lot of storage space and an electronic parking brake button along with Quattro drive modes.

For the first time, Audi has introduced three-seat layouts for the new Q7. These include a five-seater layout, a seven-seater layout, and a new six-seater layout with captain seats. The interior theme has also been updated with a three-tone texture, including the suede-beige leather seats, wooden trim panels, and silver/black leather upholstery.
The new features include a transparent and illuminated panoramic sunroof, a 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, wireless phone connectivity, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS, memory seats, captain seats on the second row with electric adjustment, massaging seats, and more.
Audi has also added the Level 2 ADAS safety features to make the new Q7 safer. It can automatically pull to a safer roadside if the driver stops responding or dozes off.
Engine specs

The new-gen Audi Q7 will be available in three engine options in the global market. These are as follows:
- A 2.9-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine with 8-speed automatic transmission and Quattro AWD. It makes 429 bhp and 599 Nm.
- A Europe-specific 3.0-litre V6 TDI diesel engine with an 8-speed AT and Quattro AWD. It offers 245 bhp and 500 Nm in base trim, and 299 bhp and 600 Nm in top-spec trims. Fun fact: It can run on hydrotreated vegetable oil as well.
- An SQ7 variant (confirmed for a later launch) will get the 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine making 591 bhp and 800 Nm. It can sprint 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
When will the new-gen Audi Q7 launch in the UAE?
Audi is yet to confirm the exact launch date of the new-gen Q7 in the UAE. However, the brand did reveal that it will hit the European market by September 2026.
We expect the launch of the new Q7 by late 2026 or early 2027 in the Middle East. It will compete with the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE upon launch.
Cars24 UAE says
The new-gen Audi Q7 has stepped up the game by offering a striking exterior design, modern interiors, and new features. We believe that adding the six-seater layout and offering the captain seats is definitely a worthy update on the Q7. Meanwhile, a new flagship Audi SUV, called Q9, is underway.
