Dubai Salik rates revised from June 2026

As announced recently by the Dubai RTA, the Salik and Parkin rates will be subject to 5% VAT, or value-added tax, from June 1, 2026. This will lead to a substantial increase in the everyday commute of motorists who often use the highways.
While the tariff is not being changed, the VAT will lead to an increase in the Salik tag and toll rates, along with the parking fees across Dubai. Major routes like Sheikh Zayed Road, Business Bay, Al Mamzar, Jebel Ali, and Al Garhoud will come under the revised Salik toll rates.
Motorists will now end up paying more for the Salik activation fees from June 1, 2026. The new Dubai Salik rates from June 2026 are as follows:
- Peak hours (Monday-Saturday): Dh6.3 per crossing (6 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 8 pm)
- Non-peak hours (Monday-Saturday): Dh 4.2 per crossing (10 am to 4 pm and 8 pm to 1 am)
- Sunday: Dh 4.2 per crossing
On the other hand, the revised Dubai Salik activation fees from June 2026 will now be Dh52.50 as opposed to Dh50 previously. Motorists can also order a ‘Starter Package’ worth Dh120, in which the VAT is applied to the taxable components only.

The addition of VAT will hike the Dubai parking fees from Dh6 to Dh6.3 per hour during the peak traffic hours. Meanwhile, non-peak traffic hours will be charged Dh4.2, as opposed to the previous Dh4 per hour.
Mind you, the peak hours are 6 am to 10 am, and 4 pm to 8 pm. On the other hand, the low-price parking zones will now charge Dh3.15 from the previous Dh3, and Dh2.15 from the previous Dh2 per hour.
What about the free parking?
While the parking rates have been revised, Dubai RTA will continue to offer free parking between 1 am and 6 am under the new Dubai Parkin scheme.
On Sunday, Dubai Parkin will now charge the previously charged Dh4 per hourper hour charged previously.
