7 upcoming BMW cars in 2026
1. BMW i3 electric sedan

Showcased recently, the upcoming BMW i3 sedan will be based on a new platform, and it will boast the all-new Neue Klasse design language. The i3 will be launched by August 2026 in Europe, while it will hit the US and other countries by the end of this year.
The i3 sedan features a 108.7 kWh battery pack that is supported by the new 800V architecture. It will be initially offered in the 50 xDrive guise, which will be an AWD version offering 463 bhp and up to 900 km WLTP range.
BMW also plans to introduce a more affordable 40 xDrive variant in the future. We believe that the BMW i3 sedan will be launched in the UAE by late 2026.
2. BMW iX3 electric SUV

The iX3 electric SUV is already available in Europe at an approximate price of AED 220,000. It is essentially an SUV version of the i3 electric sedan, or vice versa.
It is based on the Neue Klasse platform that hosts an 800V architecture, while it is powered by the 108.7 kWh battery, an AWD drivetrain, a 463 bhp quad-motor, and a WLTP-claimed range of 900 km.
The iX3 will soon go on sale in the US, and it is expected to be available in the UAE later this year, alongside the i3 electric sedan.
3. BMW 7 Series facelift

The new 7 Series facelift is the first BMW to launch this year. It is scheduled to debut later this month at the Beijing Motor Show.
The 7 Series facelift will offer an evolutionary design upgrade with the split LED headlights and the oversized kidney grille being identical to the outgoing model. Additionally, the interior will boast the new iDrive system and the Panoramic full-width display.
We believe that the new 7 Series will mainly offer luxury upgrades, rather than radical changes. It is suspected to launch in the global market, including the UAE, by mid-2026.
4. BMW X5 new-generation

Alongside the new 7 Series facelift, BMW will also launch the next-generation X5. In fact, the images of the production-spec model were recently leaked online during its first display to the dealerships.
The new X5 will bring a revolutionary change to the SUV as it will be based on the Neue Klasse design. The complete exterior, chassis, and interior will be new and different from the current generation X5.
The new generation X5 will continue to be powered by a rear-wheel drive system. Additionally, BMW has confirmed that an iX5 electric SUV is also planned for the future, based on the upcoming X5.
5. BMW 3 Series new-generation

The Bavarian carmaker is also set to launch the next-generation 3 Series sedan later this year. The upcoming model is believed to be based on the Neue Klasse design, and it will also introduce a new M350 variant, replacing the current M340i.
Although not much is known about the upcoming 3 Series, online rumours suggest that it will be offered with the new iDrive system and Panoramic View on the range-topping trims.
6. BMW M2 xDrive

The entry-level real ‘M’, i.e. the BMW M2, will also receive a major update later this year. BMW mistakenly listed the upcoming BMW M2 xDrive variant on the official website, subtly confirming the upcoming all-wheel drive option.
The xDrive variant is likely to feature a similar all-wheel drive system as the bigger M3. However, it is unlikely that BMW will offer it with a manual transmission.
Meanwhile, the rear-wheel drive M2 will continue to be offered as it is. The BMW M2 xDrive could possibly be introduced later this year, making its Middle Eastern debut next year.
7. BMW iX4 electric coupe SUV
The BMW X4 is set to make a comeback this year. However, this time it will be a fully electric model.
BMW’s official website briefly listed the upcoming iX4, which was later removed. This hints that the SUV is nearly ready for the official launch.
We suspect that it will be introduced in the third quarter of this year. It can make its Dubai debut by early 2027.
Cars24 UAE says
BMW cars in the UAE are popular among luxury buyers due to their driving dynamics and strong performance. The new-age BMW cars are smarter than ever before, with the electric power transforming the driving experience completely. The above-mentioned upcoming BMW cars are likely to be launched in the Middle East in the next 12 months or so.
