Exterior design

Speaking of its exterior design, the 8X is a 5.1 metre long SUV that has a 3,069 mm wheelbase. It boasts a waterfall design at the front with a split LED headlight setup, a horizontal slatted grille that can be had in chrome or black colour, and LiDAR sensors mounted on the top.

The side profile of the SUV features a sweptback roofline, retractable door handles, and machine-cut alloy wheels ranging from 20-inch to 22-inch in size. Meanwhile, the rear end features a ‘Coastline’ connected LED taillight setup with C-shaped ends, a streamlined bumper, and a roof-integrated spoiler.
Interior and features

On the inside, the 8X features a luxurious cabin layout with Nappa leather upholstery. It takes inspiration from the Zeekr 9X, which is a bigger SUV.
The dashboard of the 8X is equipped with a 24.3-inch augmented reality HUD, a massive 14.6-inch infotainment screen, an optional 14.6-inch entertainment screen for the front passenger, and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster.

Other notable features include the 5- or 6-seater layout options, electric seat adjustment for all rows with ventilation and memory feature, dual ventilated wireless phone charging pads, and a 29-speaker Naim sound system.
In terms of safety, Zeekr has equipped it with 43 sensors, including 5 LiDAR sensors, a triple 360-degree omnidirectional display system, and an ADAS suite with autonomous hands-free driving assistance.
Engine specs
Powering the 8X is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that can be had with a two or three-motor setup. It is based on the 900V architecture, which allows its 70kWh battery pack to get charged with a 6C charger, giving it 20-80% juice in just 9 minutes and offering 410 km of pure electric range.
Speaking of the power details, the petrol engine standalone makes 275 bhp, which is bumped up to 1,381 bhp by using a three-motor setup. Meanwhile, the range extender starter generator uses a 145kW motor.
With such a high output, it can sprint 0-100 km/h in just 2.96 seconds, while offering a total range output of 1,416 km on a single tank of fuel.
Such performance is class-leading, and the rivals like the Volvo XC90 and the Range Rover Sport will definitely feel the heat from the PHEV setup.
Will it launch in the Middle East?
Considering that Zeekr is active in the UAE and the other Middle Eastern countries, we firmly believe that the Zeekr 8X will be launched in the UAE by the end of this year.
With that being said, it will be positioned against the Range Rover Sport in the UAE, hence its starting price will be around AED 200,000.
Cars24 UAE says
The new Zeekr 8X is likely going to become a revolutionary product in a segment full of premium rivals like the Range Rover. The 8X promises a world-class performance and efficiency that no other competitor offers. It is also packed with features and safety equipment, which make it worth considering.
